The National Treasures
Exhibition Venue: Main Hall Gallery 1 & 2
Exhibition Dates: 2020-07-22 ~ 2021-04-18
In the past few years, the Buddha Museum has collaborated with the Bureau of Cultural Heritage (BOCH). Together, we presented the exhibition called, ‘Encounter, Refine and Represent’ in 2016, as well as the “Intangible Cultural Heritage – Din Tao Performance” in 2019.

This year, 2020, from July 22nd till November 29th, renowned curator Prof. Chuang Po-He will present “The National Treasures – A Close Look At Taiwan’s Traditional Crafts”. A total of 157 artworks created by 45 artists, 15 of whom are national treasure craftsmen, will be on display.

During the exhibition, 5 training courses for guided tours and 12 DIY activities will be arranged. Moreover, as the exhibition will be combined with the annual International Book Fair in November, schoolchildren from remote and mountainous areas will be encouraged to participate in a number of hands-on activities.

In addition, the websites of both the BOCH and the Buddha Museum will be linked up, in order to provide people with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of traditional Taiwanese craftmanship and the golden era of these national treasures.
