Fo Guang Shan New Year Festival of Light and Peace 2017

2017-01-08

Planning for a trip during the Chinese New Year? Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum has lined up a series of activities and events just for you.

For the art-goers, there are the Guangxi Musical “Liu Sanjie,” Hebei Acrobatic Show, Exhibition of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Works, Buddha’s Light in the Forbidden City Exhibition, Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou Exhibition, and Encounter‧Refine‧Reappear Exhibition.

To satisfy your taste buds, the Waterdrop Tea Houses will be providing delicious vegetarian food. In addition, the Museum features Shanxi cuisine, which has long been famous for noodles and vinegar. An old saying goes that “noodles are necessary on Shanxi banquets.” Other Shanxi delicacies include Kaolaolao, a snack made from oats and usually eaten with vinegar and a spicy type of sauce.

In the evening, don’t miss out the "Lights of Wisdom" 3D Projection Mapping and Fireworks Display. Join your palms and make your new year resolutions as sparks lit up the night sky. What better place to be with your friends and families?
