He specializes in oil paintings, drawings, and prints, and has also produced many large frescos and mosaic inlays. His works are very diverse, using colors of low intensity and rich tones, in a delicate and quiet style, and a surrealistic mood, making him a pioneer of surrealism in Taiwan.

Professor Chen has devoted his life to artistic creation and education. He is persistent in his ideals and pursues perfection in his creations.

This exhibition features a selection of Professor Chen’s Buddhist-related works, which he has accumulated over the years, as well as works featuring subjects ranging from beautiful women to beggars, and places spanning from a crowded cafe to a solemn concert.
