"This exhibition presented the results of the archaeological activities associated with this ongoing project commenced in January 2011 with a team drawn from the Department of Archaeology (Government of Nepal), the Lumbini Development Trust and Durham University, UK. Under the direction of Sri Kosh Prasad Acharya and Professor Robin Coningham, this mission brought together archaeologists and specialists from Nepal and the UK who are working with the Buddha Museum for the first time. The archaeological findings displayed in this exhibition have shed new light on the history of Lumbini and other sites within the Greater Lumbini Area.
