To comprehend Buddhism, one must first understand the Buddha.
This keynote session will be hosted by Venerable Ru Chang, Director of the Buddha Museum, and joined by Most Venerable Hsin Bau, Head Abbot of Fo Guang Shan, and Professor Wan Jin-Chuan from Fo Guang University. Drawing from Venerable Master Hsing Yun's Biography of Sakyamuni Buddha, this keynote aims to delve into the remarkable life of Prince Siddhartha, his quest for truth, and the challenges he faced.
With the objective of fostering a proper understanding of Buddhist teachings and practices, Fo Guang Shan, the Buddha Museum, and the Fo Guang Shan Institute of Humanistic Buddhism have collaboratively organized this series of keynote sessions. It is our aspiration that through faith, comprehension, application, and realization of Buddhist principles, individuals can embrace a more serene way of life.
