The International Council of Museums (ICOM) selects a theme that is at the heart of the concerns of society for International Museum Day each year. The theme for 2021 is "The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine." In celebration of International Museum Day 2021 and the Museum’s tenth year anniversary, the Buddha Museum has come up with three new digital experiences.

Two major exhibitions - “Buddhist Maritime Silk Road” and “The Earthly Pond” -  will be launched in May and uploaded to the Open Museum platform for online viewing. Visitors can also take part in the “Braving through the Maritime Silk Road” LINE Quiz at Main Hall Gallery 3. Visitors who answer all questions correctly will get to receive a gift. In addition, the Buddha Museum will also launch a new official website to bring more exciting online content to our visitors.
